5 Tips to Ace Your Finals

+ Start early.
I cannot stress this enough (no pun intended!). Starting to study or simply get your materials together a few weeks before your exam is crucial. Nothing is worse than knowing you have 5 days to study and have only begun gathering the information you need to know.

+ Make a Study Schedule.
Count out how many days you have until the final and then divide up the work into small chunks each day. I like to do this week by week on a piece of looseleaf but also make one giant calendar to visually see how much time I have left (this is quite motivating!).

+ Write out and type your study guide.
First type out everything you need to know so it is neat and can be printed, then write it all out. Writing out all of the information really helps me remember it - there's something about typing things that just doesn't go through to my brain as well!

+ Take breaks.
Everyone is different, but my preferred way to study is 45 minutes of working followed by a 15 minute break. There's no better feeling than getting up and stretching or grabbing a snack after staring at a computer screen for hours, so make sure to space out your studying. Not to mention, this will also make you more productive because you will be more energized!

+ Eliminate distractions.
Put your phone in another room or set it to Do Not Disturb mode in order to stay focused. Also, SelfControl is just about the best invention yet - it blocks certain websites from your computer so you can really get work done. Genius, right?

Follow these 5 tips and I promise you will do great!
Best of luck to everyone on your finals!
